About Our Charity

The Peace*Love*Happiness Charity was conceived in 2002 while two bikers were riding through the Texas Hill Country.

During a pit-stop at Poodies Hill Top, John Paul Dejoria, “Captain of Industry” and “Steward of the Planet”, along with his long time friend and riding buddy, Gary Spellman, decided to take a stand after hearing how horribly an Austin Police Officer was being criticized for risking his life to save another. That day, Peace*Love*Happiness was born.

They would go on to create a Charity Motorcycle Ride event that helped and supported the families of fallen peace officers and any and all abused and neglected children. Since then, the event has gone on to support not only the 100 Club of Central Texas but global causes as well, such as The Water Keepers Alliance.

And now, it’s time for the next chapter…

The Next Chapter

The Peace*Love*Happiness Charity is a now a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the six essential needs of underserved communities.

By focusing on these critical aspects of individuals’ lives, we aim to empower and uplift the most vulnerable members of our community.

Through collaborative partnerships and a sustainable approach, we will work towards creating a society where everyone has access to a better quality of life.

Our mission is to provide:

Housing

Access to affordable housing options, including temporary shelters, transitional housing, and assistance in securing permanent housing through partnerships with local landlords and housing authorities

Food

Partner with existing food banks, community kitchens, and meal programs to ensure individuals and families have access to nutritious meals. Additionally, we will collaborate with local farmers and food suppliers to minimize food waste and increase the availability of fresh produce.

Childcare

Partner with affordable and reliable childcare services, including daycare centers and after-school programs. We will prioritize the safety and development of children while providing a supportive environment for working parents.

Utilities

Assist individuals in accessing affordable utility services, such as electricity, water, and heating. This may include negotiating discounted rates, facilitating energy-efficient upgrades, and providing financial assistance for utility bill payments.

Commuting

Develop transportation initiatives, including partnerships with public transportation providers, carpooling programs, and bicycle-sharing initiatives. Our goal is to enable individuals to commute to work and access essential services without significant financial burdens.

Medical Care

Collaborate with healthcare providers, clinics, and hospitals to offer free or low-cost medical services, health screenings, and access to essential medications. Additionally, we will promote health education and preventive care within the community.
